#331 Sock Robot

Getting to some closet organization, so here are some of my workout socks as a robot.

#330 Chalk Bot

It was another "grab something out of the boxes in the future craft room" kinda robot day. Tried my hand at pastel chalks, turned out better than I thought, helped to blend it with my fingers. Next time I use them I'll use the light colors first and then blend in some darker colors.

#329 Failish Pastel Bot

Ok, I'm ready to concede that 15-20 year old oil pastels may need to go. They shouldn't go bad but I think they're too dried out to blend with anymore. So I may get some new ones to try one more time, meanwhile here is a robot on a 6"x8" canvas board.

#327 Birthday Wishes Bot

I doodled this on our whiteboard this morning before leaving to wish my wife a happy birthday.

#326 Sacrifice to the Makers Wife!

As a tribute to the Makers Wife's annual trip around the sun the robots offer up heads in sacrifice containing offerings and treasured wonders in hopes of appeasing the Maker and Makers Wife.

Tomorrow is my wife's birthday, so I made three presents into robot heads using foil as wrap, googly eyes, pipe stems and mini-bows.

#325 Old hardware bot

Some random parts found and left over from work this weekend.

#324 Frost Bot

Another busy weekend settling in to the new casa, here is a robot drawn in frost on the windshield. Yes, late April and still getting frosty windows in the morning.

#323 Nazca Bot?

Is that a Nazca line robot? Nope, just digging in the dirt of the back yard.

#320 Dust bot

Tuesday's robot, 4 years of dust is very apparent on a lamp that was behind a desk for that time.

#319 Sharpie Robot

Robot for Monday, a hastily drawn robot in Sharpie on a box.

Monday, April 18, 2011

No internet, robot drawn and I will post when I have access again post-move. Probably tomorrow but maybe Wednesday.

#318 Water Bot-tle

All of my crafty stuff is packed, so instead of another drawing I looked for what I could use in a nearly fully packed apartment, so here's a water bot-tle.

#317 Happy Robot

Why is this robot so dang happy and smug? It didn't have to have taxes in yesterday.

#316 StyroBot

Things StyroBot does not like: Stiff winds, corrosive chemicals, sharp knives.

Chunk of styrofoam and some recycled parts from the last few days.

#315 Big Eye Box Bot

What a big eye you have. The better to compute you with!

Bi-fold door roller, cardboard packing and wire.

#314 Pugilist?

While not a 'Rock-em, Sock-em Robot' this guy looks like he'd be quite a pugilist.

Doodle while on a telcon. With packing and new home repairs in full swing it has been hard to set time to do a robot each day but I'm trying to stick with it. Move in less than a week!

#312 Chrome Plated Dalek

Chromed tricked out Dalek.

Yes, I know that Daleks are not really robots. I'm not a major Who fan but this busted shower head reminded me of a Dalek.

#311 IKEA Bot

TUNGSTEN! I NEED TUNGSTEN!

Not what I was going to make today, instead this is a guest post from my wife. We put together a bunch of new IKEA furniture today so we have allen wrenches and pegs left over.

#310 Assorted Ephemera

Here is yesterday's robot made from assorted ephemera. I had every intention of using some items from my workbench that had been in storage for 4+ years or something other than a random assembly but after almost 7 hours of power washing at my new house and a couple more hours of other work and IKEA furniture assembly I remembered about 8:30 last night "Oh crap! Robot!"
I have an idea for today and a piece of what I want to use set aside at the house (didn't bring it back to my apartment) and I don't plan on power washing all day so I hope not to push up on another last minute robot.

Vintage tiny oil can, vintage typewriter ribbon can, staple remover, bottle opener and a ticket puncher/hole punch (from a defunct Spokane bus line).

#309 Boot Up sounds

Felt like firing up Garage Band yet again but only could half-ass this out. Some sort of boot up sounds for maybe an industrial robot? Robots talking to each other? I don't know. I'm going to look for different parts for a robot tomorrow in my stuff I had stored the last 4 years, maybe find something different that inspires me.

Come on robots now, smile on your factory mate, compute together and try to process love with one another right now....

Paper doll chain of robots.

#306 Surprise!

OMG! What a surprise!

Cover from a mouse, looked like it was happy and particularly surprised (or at least that's what I saw), so here's a happy surprised robot.

#305 El Toro!

What is a RoboTorero without a RoboToro?

Quick doodle, I can't find the parts/stuff to do a 'real' robot out of this one right now.

#304 El Torero!

Stepping in to the robotoro ring, only the bravest of Robotorero compete.

Computer parts and construction paper.

#303 Lost Robot

Oh curse the maker! Lost in the desert, the dust and heat damaging processors and gears. Will the poor robot ever find its way home?

Sketchbook Express doodle with one of my desktop images for a background.

#302 To the deepest depths...

...of laziness.

I am beyond wiped today, we finally got the keys to our new home (third time homebuyers so hopefully this is the last time for a long time) and we have been running around taking care of what needs to get done before we move in. I was lamenting how tired I am and the lack of brainpower to create a robot, so my dearly beloved wife doodled this out and said 'Guest post!'

I wasn't going to but as I sit with my sketch pad and a cup of hot ginger tea my brain said 'I'm outta here'.
Guest post it is. Beep Beep.
